Traffic Management - South Anderson Drive, AB10

Road users are being advised of some road traffic management in Aberdeen following emergency repairs to a burst water main.

• South Anderson Drive; Aberdeen; AB10 7PU

Traffic management is in place on South Anderson Drive near the junction with Great Western Road due to x2 southbound and x1 northbound lane closures.

The required works were fully completed on Friday last week, however, our attempts to reinstate the roadway from Saturday onwards have all been unsuccessful due to continued inclement weather.

This is a deep backfill which requires tarring, and due to the nature of this work, it cannot take place during periods of heavy or sustained rainfall.

Our teams are back on-site today to prepare the site again with a view of completing the reinstatement tomorrow (Friday 12th July), providing that weather conditions remain suitable for the tar to set.

All road traffic management has been agreed in conjunction with Aberdeen City Council and road users are asked to allow extra time for travel.
