Elder Street, Dunbar - Sewer Upgrades
Roadworks in Dunbar
From Monday 14 October, a section of Elder Street will be closed to all public vehicles. Temporary traffic lights and a diversion will be in place.
We will be carrying out infrastructure upgrades on the sewer network in Elder Street, Dunbar as the next stage in works to mitigate a predicted increase in flood volumes by increasing capacity on the network.
Work begins on Elder Street on Monday 14th October for approximately four weeks.
To enable the works to be completed safely, during this time a section of Elder Street will be closed to all public vehicles. Temporary traffic lights and a diversion will be in place.
While the work is ongoing, we need to close off the public footpath as it falls within our proposed work area.
Pedestrian access to properties within the road closure will be maintained, however parking within this area will not be permitted.
This work is being carried out by Scottish Water’s commercial subsidiary, Scottish Water Horizons, and our deliver partner George Leslie.
We appreciate the traffic management will cause some disruption for residents and road users but can only thank them in advance for their patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work to maintain the local sewer network.
