Carmunnock Water Main Upgrade

We will be implementing temporary traffic management measures on Bankhead Road, Carmunnock, to upgrade the water network and ensure customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water while reducing the chance of pipes bursting. 

Work will start on Bankhead Road on Monday, 21 October and last approximately five weeks.

Temporary traffic management will be in place on Bankhead Road for the duration of the work. During working hours, a convoy system will be in place to enable residential access and egress. Out with working hours, three-way traffic lights will be in place on Bankhead Road and its junction with Busby Road. 

Hours of operation will be from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday. We will also utilise weekend working opportunities where possible to expedite the work.

Essential access for emergency vehicles and pedestrian access to residential properties will be maintained at all times. 

Work will be carried out by our alliance partner, Clancy Docwra.
