Essential Maintenance on Trunk Main in Bathgate

We would like to inform you of a single-lane closure near the Whitdale Roundabout on Bathgate's A706 road. This closure is part of the second and final phase of essential maintenance aimed at assessing potential future improvements to the water supply network.

Work will commence on Monday, 18 November and is expected to last approximately five weeks.

Traffic diversions will be in place. Please follow all directional signage in place. The rest of the roundabout and the connecting roads, including the B8084 and the roads leading to the M8, will remain open.

While the maintenance work may cause temporary disruption to road users, it is crucial as the large water main being worked on serves over 36,000 properties across Livingston, Armadale, and Blackridge.

All areas affected by construction will be securely fenced to ensure the safety of both the public and Scottish Water staff.
