Tillicoultry Riverbank Reinstatement

We will be starting work to divert a section of footpath that leads along the River Devon in Tillicoultry.

A sewer runs beneath the existing path and the ground has been subjected to water erosion. To keep members of the public using the route safe while repair work is carried out, the walkway will be temporarily diverted.

Construction of the new footpath will begin on Monday 18 November 2024 and is expected to take a week to complete. Signage will be placed along the path to inform residents and visitors of the diverted route.

Once the temporary footpath is completed, the extent of reinstatement work on the riverbank will be assessed.

This work will be carried out by Scottish Water’s contractors George Leslie.
