Blochairn Road Sewer Collapse

We are carrying out emergency repairs on a collapsed sewer requiring the closure of Blochairn Road between Viewpark Avenue and Royston Road.

There have been at least two collapses on an egg brick sewer under Blochairn Road, including one beneath the roundabout at the junction with Viewpark Avenue.

Blochairn Place can still be accessed but only from Royston Road. Vehicles travelling north on Viewpark Avenue can only turn right onto Blochairn Road.

The road closure is needed to allow us to carry out excavations down to the damaged sections of sewer safely.
