London Road Glasgow

Sewer network repair
Parking is suspended on a section of London Road while work is ongoing
We are carrying out repairs to a long-standing issue on the sewer network in Calton to help prevent flooding.
Work began outside 48 London Road on Monday 7 July. This is a challenging repair and the area required to excavate is in very close proximity to the train tunnel below. Therefore, discussions and work designs are being drawn up in conjunction with Network Rail which unfortunately will extend our stay on site until the end of September to deliver work safely and in accordance with Network Rail’s requirements.
A section of the footpath is closed during this time as well as no parking allowed in a section of London Road but pedestrian access is being maintained to all properties and businesses.
There is no road closure scheduled during the work programme.
We have liaised with Network Rail and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in order to deliver this work safely and efficiently.
We thank the community for their patience and understanding while we carry out these essential repairs.
Our delivery partner George Leslie is carrying out this work on our behalf.
