The road is closed to southbound traffic heading from Bathgate into Whitburn
We are carrying out urgent sewer replacement work on Armadale Road in Whitburn, West Lothian.
A pipe running beneath a pavement is in extremely poor condition and approximately 100 metres needs to be replaced.
To carry out the work safely a lane closure is in place with traffic heading from Bathgate into Whitburn being diverted along the B7066 towards Heartlands.
The road remains open to vehicles travelling from Whitburn town centre towards Armadale and Bathgate.
Everything is being done to carry out the work as quickly as safety will allow. We would like to thank everyone affected for their patience and understanding.
