Dalmellington Water Main Upgrade
Project Overview
We are carrying out upgrades to the existing water main on New Street and Cathcartston to ensure our customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water for years to come and reduce the chances of pipes bursting.
Work will begin from Tuesday, 11 November 2025 and is expected to last around six weeks.
Road closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place.
The work is being delivery by Clancy Docwra on our behalf.

What to expect
To allow for the work to be carried out safely, we will be implementing a road closure on New Street from Tuesday, 11 November for approximately three weeks.
Once completed, this will then be followed by a road closure on Cathcartston for another three weeks. There will also be temporary traffic lights on High Street during this time.
There will be access and parking restrictions during the overall period of work. Please follow all signs put in place.
The hours of operation will be from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday. We will also utilise weekend working opportunities where possible to expedite the work.
