Water Main Upgrade on Forest Road Cumbernauld

Scottish Water is pleased to confirm that this work, to support community growth and ensure customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water for years to come, is moving to the next phase and the previous road and path closures have been lifted.

During the works, a new water main has been installed along Forest Road to support the installation of a new roundabout and upgrades to an existing pipe on the core path between Forest Road and Palacerigg. 

Both areas have been reinstated and work is continuing on the private development site. We will need to return next Spring to tie-in the new pipe on the core path, however a full path closure should not be required.
